The House
Our Manifesto
A Luxembourgish house
LOUV. was born from a simple object: the scrunchie.
Today, it is our signature. Tomorrow, it will be the starting point for accessories designed with the same standards, the same fabric, and the same care.
Our Story
It all starts with a simple observation: even the most expensive scrunchies often pull hair.
LOUV. was born from this conviction: to do better, by rethinking the elastic, the fabric, and the construction.
The First Fabrics
First trip to meet the mills. The collection of materials is taking shape, always with the same question: what does this fabric do to the hair?
The Luxembourg workshop
Workshop opening in Luxembourg. Fine-tuning the elastics. Each fabric × elastic combination is tested on fine, thick, curly, and straight hair. Months of prototypes.
The first collection
Launch of LOUV. The scrunchie as the common thread of a house that dreams bigger: other accessories, the same standards, the same fabrics, the same hand.
The scrunchie as a starting point
LOUV. is a luxury textile accessories brand, with the scrunchie as its foundational piece. Each new capsule will be a natural extension of this initial creation: same fabric, same elastic, same craftsmanship.
Our Values
-
The inside first
What you don't see matters as much as what you do. The elastic, the padding, the inner topstitching — we put as much care into them as we do the surface. -
Total traceability
Each LOUV. fabric has an address. We know the mill, the cut,
sometimes the weaver. This transparency is our minimum standard. -
The transmissible piece
We don't make disposable items. Each LOUV. is designed to stand the test of time and be passed down from generation to generation, like a learned gesture. -
Accessible
Accessible to all. LOUV. is not ostentatious: it is noticed when one
knows where to look.
For you, for her, for you
The Ritual
LOUV. does not close itself to a single client. The woman who styles her hair alone in the morning, the mother who ties her daughter's hair — all deserve the same gesture, the same fabric, the same care.
FAQ
What materials are used?
We select materials sourced in Europe, chosen for their drape, feel, and hold. Each textile is selected for its ability to interact with the scrunchie's internal structure.
Where are LOUV. scrunchies made?
Each piece is hand-assembled in our workshop in Luxembourg.
We prioritize careful, small-batch manufacturing, with a
consistent demand for quality finishes.
Why is the choice of elastic so important?
Because it forms the invisible structure of the piece. It influences the comfort, hold, and lifespan of the scrunchie.
How are the fabrics chosen?
We select them for their lightness, movement and how well they hang once worn. A fabric only joins the collection if it meets our criteria for drape, comfort and aesthetic consistency.
Do scrunchies leave marks in hair?
No, the materials and structures are chosen to hold without
compressing. The goal is to provide a comfortable hold, without pulling or
breaking the hair fiber.
Are the parts mass-produced?
No. LOUV. advocates a home-based approach, not standardized production. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and individually assembled.
How to care for my LOUV. scrunchie?
We recommend delicate care, adapted to the material. To preserve the fit
and beauty of the fabric, avoid aggressive washing and opt for gentle
care.
Do you offer limited edition pieces?
Yes, some materials or models are designed as limited capsules. This helps preserve the uniqueness of the collection and the accuracy of sourcing.
Are your fabrics traceable?
Yes, traceability is part of our requirement. We work with
materials selected in Europe and carefully monitor the origin of the
components.
What's the difference between a LOUV. and a classic scrunchie?
First, the construction. Then the material, the finish, and the overall
coherence of the piece. A LOUV. is designed as a timeless style object,
not just an accessory.
Can the phone elastic band deform over time?
With use, it may slightly relax or deform. You just need to restore it to its original shape, for example around a cylinder, then let it regain its hold in a gentle heat source such as the sun or a radiator.
Why does this phenomenon exist?
Like any flexible structure, elastic responds to repetitive movements and tension. Its advantage remains its shape memory, which allows it to easily return to its original line.
